A tradition that inspires: The history of Hotel Palace
How an industrial building in the heart of Roudná became a place where personal touch and family values have met for over 20 years.
The history of the building that houses today’s Hotel Palace dates back to 1882, when it served as a printing house. It is located in the traditional Pilsen district of Roudná, which has always been associated with craft production and trade, and to this day maintains its distinctive character in close proximity to the historic city center.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the building underwent extensive reconstruction, giving it a new look and purpose. In 2004, Hotel Palace was established here, building on the tradition of the site and transforming the original industrial building into a modern accommodation facility providing comfortable facilities for guests from the Czech Republic and abroad.
The hotel was founded by J.P.R. Consulting, established by three partners – Ing. Jan Maršič, Petr Lang, and Ronnie McCorisken from Scotland. Their goal was to create a smaller boutique hotel with an emphasis on quality service, a personal approach, and a pleasant atmosphere in a quiet location near the center of Pilsen.
Since its opening, the hotel has been closely linked with its sister hotel, Hotel Roudná, which provides some of the services and contributes to the overall comfort of the guests. Thanks to this cooperation, visitors can enjoy wider facilities and services in the immediate vicinity.
Currently, the hotel is managed by one of the founders, Ing. Jan Maršič, who continues to develop the original vision – offering guests quality accommodation in a quiet environment with an emphasis on an individual approach and the pleasant atmosphere of a family business.
